UNIT 23

CONSULTING REFERENCE RESOURCES TO HELP IN LESSON PREPARATION

Throughout unit 23 which refers to reference resources usage for planning, I could clearly identify the reasons for using reference resources.

I as a future teacher might  need a help on grammatical structures, lexical items, teaching methods and approaches, and the role of aids in the classroom. Thus, I would look for practical books which will help me to enhance my lesson plans with concise information. For instance, I would go for the book "Advanced Grammar in Use with Use with answers" in order to get some exceptions in rules for anticipating students´ misunderstanding and for avoiding students´ errors
Moreover, other useful book, I would use is "Teaching Materials". It provides me a great range of designed materials  which I could make photocopies and have my students interested on the topic.

In final consideration I learnt in this unit what references resources are, which references materials could I use, and some situations in which I could need a reference resource.

Take a look to this video with extra information.

  1. Hi Diana, "Advanced Grammar in Use with Use with answers", "Teaching Materials" books are very useful. I used it in class and the variety is clear. I think that have a routine is boring and the same happens if teachers make routinary classes. So, the variety increases students interesting.
