UNIT 24

SELECTION AND USE OF COURSEBOOK MATERIALS

In this unit I could learn all about coursebook materials that are involved in teaching process as well as all the adaptations I could do in my classes, regarding the available materials. Another thing that was taught was the components of a coursebook package, there I can get the teacher´s and students´ book, attached some video or audio recordings. 


For applying all these things I need to make a brief needs analysis from my class. For me the most suitable tool to identify my students weaknesses and strengthens is toward a diagnostic test. I would apply it every chance I had. Since some particular teaching situation were stated in order to make the most suitable adaptation of materials, I am going to choose the one that I could face likely the most. I think that I my near teaching classes I will need to short materials because nowadays there are no less than forty students in each classroom which causes overpopulation so it is better to have a few but appropriate materials in length. 

In short coursebook materials need to be selected and used carefully in order to success when teaching.
